Performances
The
choir usually presents two major concerts each season, one in
February and one in June as well as a seasonal December event.
In
addition to these concerts there are often several performances
at community events throughout the season.
Fees
& Obligations
The annual membership fee for singers is $175 or $130 for low-income.
There is also a music deposit of $20.00. If singers join the
choir later in the season, the fee is pro-rated. Singers must
be over 16 to join.
Support
members pay an annual fee of $5.00.
Members
are encouraged to participate in the choir's fundraising activities
and contribute at least eight volunteer hours.
Vocal
Placement Interviews
After the season is underway singers will have a Vocal Placement
Interview with the Artistic Director.
The
interviews are an informal way for the singers to meet the Artistic
Director and for the Artistic Director to become familiar with
each singer's voice and to assign them a vocal part that matches
their voice type and range.
Workshops
& Retreats
EVM offers vocal workshops each season and a three day singers
retreat.
The
2011 retreat is scheduled for Friday, 11.November to Sunday,
13.November at Camp He-Ho-Ha.
Sectional
Rehearsals
Sectional rehearsals are occasionally scheduled in addition
to the regular rehearsals.
